What the hell does that journal name mean?: Masaru's name, Daimon Masaru, can also be read Daimondai, which means 'Big Problem'. 'dai_mon_dai', when separated sounds like 'Die 'mon, die'. And since he's the only Main Character in Digimon who fights 'mons on his own... it's a two-for-one pun.
